SpaceX Starship
Starship is a fully reusable two-stage launch vehicle under development by American company SpaceX, comprising of a first stage booster and a second stage spacecraft (Starship). The launch vehicle is expected to be the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful rocket in the world, capable of producing 72 meganewtons or 17,000,000 pound force of thrust at lift-off—more than twice that of a Saturn V rocket. Starship can launch 100 t (220,000 lb) to low Earth orbit and with the same capacity to higher Earth orbits, the Moon, or Mars via transfering propellant in orbit. To accommodate Starship's features, a non-traditional launch complex would be used, including a launch tower that can lift and recover both stages. Both stages will be powered by Raptor engines and constructed out of stainless steel.

2021 Russian legislative election
Legislative elections were held in Russia from 17 to 19 September 2021. At stake were 450 seats in the State Duma of the 8th convocation, the lower house of the Federal Assembly. Going into the elections, United Russia was the ruling party after winning the 2016 Russian legislative election with 54.2% of the vote, taking 343 seats, and retaining a supermajority. In March 2020, it was proposed to hold a snap election in September 2020 due to proposed constitutional reforms, but this idea was abandoned. On 18 June 2021, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree calling the election for 19 September the same year. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia, voting in the election lasted for three days, from 17 to 19 September, per decision made by the Central Election Commission (CEC). Final turnout was reported to be 51.72%.

The Texas Heartbeat Act is an act of the Texas Legislature. It was introduced as Senate Bill 8 and House Bill 1515 on March 11, 2021, and was signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott on May 19, 2021. The law came into effect on September 1, 2021. It is the first six-week abortion ban in the United States, and the first of its kind to rely on enforcement by private individuals through civil lawsuits, rather than by the government through criminal or civil enforcement. The Act establishes a system in which members of the public can sue anyone who performs or facilitates an illegal abortion for a minimum of $10,000 in statutory damages.

2021 United Kingdom fuel panic buying
In September 2021, panic buying of petrol and diesel fuel by consumers in the United Kingdom caused serious disruption to the supply of road fuel. The panic buying was said to be caused by media reports of a leaked government briefing discussing the shortage of HGV drivers. Politicians in EU countries linked the driver shortage to Brexit but transport secretary Grant Shapps said that the shortage of drivers was a long-term problem that predated Brexit.

WJFP was a non-commercial FM radio station broadcasting an Urban Contemporary format. Licensed to Fort Pierce, Florida, it served the Treasure Coast. The station was owned by Black Media Works, Inc. Back in August 2021, Black Media Works, Inc. sold WJFP and WJCB to Indian River State College, which plans to flip the 91.1 FM signal to WQCP with a classical music format, and 88.5 FM signal to WQJS with a jazz format, foregoing the programming that had aired on WJFP and WJCB for the past 26 years- gospel music in the mornings and midday, with hip hop, R&B and some other music in the afternoons through late night. On September 14, 2021, the final live show aired, the Drive Time Show with Jumpin' Joe, with guests on air and by phone including now former station owner and president of Black Media Works, Kim Kassis, DJ One Shot, Shaneiac, Monét from the T-Babby Radio Show, DJ T-Black, a few of the pastors from WJFP, and others. The final song on the show was "We Are The World," by USA For Africa. On September 14, 2021, by 6:00pm, the live online stream was taken down and the translators in Brevard County on 94.3 FM and 93.9 FM had gone silent. Music continued to play through the night with R&B, hip hop, pop, disco, oldies, jazz, and some Christian music, switching to gospel music from 5:00am until the final song aired just before 8:00am. On September 15 at 8:00am, classic hits 88.9 HD3 "The River" began simulcasting on 91.1 and 88.5, saying classical and jazz were coming soon to those stations. Also at that time, the call letters for 91.1 changed to WQCP, and 88.5 to WQJS. Both stations will serve as secondary NPR affiliates to the main NPR affiliate in the area, WQCS. The change on 91.1 to classical, and 88.5 and 88.9 HD2 to jazz with some NPR talk took place on September 28, 2021.
Alhucemas landing
The Alhucemas landing was a landing operation which took place on 8 September 1925 at Alhucemas by the Spanish Army and Navy and, in lesser numbers, an allied French naval and aerial contingent, that would put an end to the Rif War. It is considered the first amphibious landing in history involving the use of tanks and massive seaborne air support. Alhucemas is seen as a precursor of the Allied amphibious landings in World War II, and the first successful combined operation of the 20 century.

Tropical cyclones in 2021
In 2021, tropical cyclones have formed in six major bodies of water, commonly known as tropical cyclone basins. Tropical cyclones will be assigned names by various weather agencies if they attain maximum sustained winds of 35 knots. During this year, 121 systems have formed and 74 were named, including one subtropical depression and excluding one system which was unofficial. So far, the most intense storm of the year was Typhoon Surigae, with maximum 10-minute sustained wind speeds of 220 km/h (140 mph) and a minimum pressure of 895 hPa (26.43 inHg). The deadliest tropical cyclone so far was Cyclone Seroja, which caused 272 fatalities in Indonesia, while the costliest so far was Hurricane Ida, which caused an estimated $50 billion USD in damage after striking Louisiana and the Northeastern United States.
Lok Adalat
Lok Adalat is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism used in India. It is a forum where cases pending on panchayat, or at a pre-litigation stage in a court of law, are settled. It has statutory authority under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. Under this Act, the award (decision) made by the Lok Adalats is deemed to be a civil court case and is final and binding on all parties. No appeal against such an award lies before any court of law. If the parties are not satisfied with the award of the Lok Adalat, they are free to initiate litigation by approaching the court of appropriate jurisdiction.

Trailer-on-flatcar
Trailer on flatcar, also known as TOFC or piggyback, is the practice of carrying semi-trailers on railroad flatcars. TOFC allows for shippers to move truckloads long distances more cheaply than can be done by having each trailer towed by a truck, since one train can carry more than 100 trailers at once. The trailers will be moved by truck from their origin to an intermodal facility, where they will then be loaded onto a train, typically by a rubber tyred gantry crane, for the bulk of their journey. Alternatively, trailers may be driven onto the flatcars via ramps by a terminal tractor. Near the destination, the trailers are unloaded at another facility and brought to their final destination by truck.

The Jesup Bees were a minor league baseball team based in Jesup, Georgia that played from 1950 to 1953. The Jesup Bees played exclusively as members of the Class D level Georgia State League. The Bees won Georgia State League regular season pennants in 1951 and 1953. The Bees folded following the 1953 season.
